"There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called Yesterday and the other is called Tomorrow, so Today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live." Dalai Lama
When you are feeling sad, depressed or living with anxiety you are not present. Maybe your mind is lingering in the past, the future or living in fear but it is not here in this moment. Stop and ask yourself this: Is this thought/fear true? How often do I find my thoughts in my mind drifting to negative thinking about things that have passed or about what is to come. If it is in my past - it is exactly that, gone, done and we must move forward. Allow all pain, abuse, hurt, disappointment be the motivation to create a life of harmony, joy happiness and laughter. It is often times those that have had the most painful, traumatic experiences from either their childhood or as an adult, who end up creating a positive life other than what they had experienced. I did. I chose to have a family and to be the parent that I did not have and give my children the love and attention that I desired. I wanted a happy and abundant home life so I created it. Whoever you are now you can move forward and get help. We have so many amazing tools today - from life coaches, kinesiologists, reiki healers, shamans, and more to help heal our mental traumas that we hold in our physical body. If you are living in fear or depression about your future, this hasn't taken place yet; you are creating it! So start making the change now by committing today "I AM going to start feeling better." Be committed to your health and well being. I AM asking for divine guidance to send all the right people into my life to heal and help me. Write this prayer down and repeat it several times a day. Watch and see who appears into your life. The universe works in the most magical way. When it is said "Ask and you shall receive" know that the universe is right by your side guiding you towards your highest good, knowing all your needs are being met, even your emotional ones. Imagine if all your problems could be solved through prayer; they can. Imagine if you could talk to your guides/Source and ask for help to solve your problems? Since the day we were born, we have had guides by our side- we cannot see them, we cannot hear them but know they are there. When you met the love of your life at the gas station and he/she approached you - was this coincidence? No, this was all planned since the day you prayed for it. Praying gives us hope when there is none. Prayer gives us light when all we see is darkness. When you pray, someone is listening, and when you believe, it will happen. The more you stop and listen to the guidance you are receiving, trust your intuition that you are being led in the right direction. Give over your anxiety, sadness and depression and ask for divine solutions to help remove any fear based thoughts that are creating this sadness within. Tasha Silver quoted "Change me divine beloved into one who easily releases all that is ready to go, making room for what wants to come. May I courageously release all that is outgrown and stagnant preparing for the new. Let me move in harmony with your natural cycles in every way." However, others perceive you. Whatever you have been told about yourself is an outwardly perception from others viewpoints; this is not who you are. You are a perfect divine being, a mini creation of the greatest Creator of all. Look in the mirror at yourself and say "I love you. You are amazing." The first step to healing and releasing your mental anguish is self love. Be willing to forgive and release anyone or anything that has contributed to past pain that is connected to your sadness or depression now. If you are holding on to fear about your future write down exactly what it is you are afraid of. On a scale of 1-10 how likely is this to come true? If it is an 8-10 write down what would happen if it did come true. Now write down what you could do to help yourself get through it. Often times when we really start to analyze fear it's much bigger inside our head than it is on paper. By writing down the worst case scenario and how we would get through it if we were faced with it, it allows our mind to see that even when faced with this challenge that we now have a solution to it which helps dissipate the fear that is attached to it. Meditate, listen to calming music, drink tulsi tea and take ashwaganda which are powerful adaptogens to help cope with stress. Find someone to talk to, a friend, family member or paid professional. Others can help us see things from a different point of view that can release the negative thoughts and feelings that are surrounding the issue.
